Ebb Tide Guest Artist For August - Sharon Stritzel

Sharon Stritzel is a self-taught artist based in Manchester, Washington, working primarily in acrylics. Her passion for making art began in fifth grade and grew into a lifelong creative practice.

After retiring from a 35-year career in education, Stritzel devoted herself more fully to painting. During the pandemic, she completed a series of online fine-art programs that deepened her technical skills and expanded her understanding of art.

While acrylic remains her primary medium, she also explores oil, watercolor, and collage. Stritzel is an active member of the Peninsula Art League and the South Kitsap Artists Association, where she continues to connect with fellow artists and share her evolving work.
