Kick off Summer with a visit to Gig Harbor's Award-winning Gallery! Now open at 10am

I was born and raised in Southeastern Michigan and grew up surrounded by different forms of art like handmade quilts, needlepoint and lush perennial gardens. My mother, aunt and sisters were all influential in my development as an artist.
I began my exploration into watercolor painting when our children were little and I needed a night out! I took a community ed watercolor class and quickly fell in love with the medium. After moving to Arizona in 2009, I added acrylic and pastel painting to my repertoire and began teaching art to students from 5 to 80 years old.
When my husband and I moved to beautiful Washington in 2018, it prompted me to become a member of the Peninsula Art League (PAL) and the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS). It was here in Washington that my adventure as an artist really blossomed. With trees, plants and flowers that seem to always be growing, there became an endless supply of subject matter to paint.
Florals are (obviously!) my favorite to paint. When the buds start bursting open each April, you can usually find me tending, weeding and photographing my garden. My floral intoxication starts with the first purple crocuses and continues through the sunflowers and dahlias of September.
When I’m not painting, teaching or gardening, you’ll find me traveling with my husband and spending time with our family.
